Hyundai cars? Can someone please tell me if Hyundai cars are good cars for first time drivers? I am planning to trade in our 2004 Nissan Sentra for a 2006 Hyundai. And also if someone drives one can you tell me why this car is cheap? I know they are Korean made but I have heard people say that Korean made cars are not the good. So how is the rating crash wise?

Ok, they only been around for a couple of years in America, compare to well established brands like, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, and Mitsubishi that start it way back in the 1960s in America. Do you think Hyundai cars are crap? i was going to purchase hyundai sonata gls, but lots of ppl told me not to do so. they said it's crap, cheap,....and so on,then recommended me civic or accord. i dont know why but i think sonata has a better design that there two. i know nothing about cars ,and it is gonna be my first car, so i need you all's help. do really people think that someone who drives sonata is poor or something? help me and please give me your opinion what i should do !! :)

Are Hyundai Cars Considered "Poor peoples cars" or "trashy"??? I was supposed to be getting a mercedes benz but I have decided that would be a stupid move when I know that this being my first car...I'll probably crash it sooner than later. I am planning to buy Hyundai Car but I am confused? I am planning to buy Hyundai Getz-1.1 GLE but I am confused with I10-Era & Xing-GLS. Though the value difference with Xing-GLS with I10 Era is Rs.50k and with Getz 1.1 GLE is Rs. 43K. Need Help With Cars Comparing To Hyundai Tiburon? Im looking for a car to get that is much like the Hyundai Tiburon, MItsubishi Eclipse, etc. a 4 seater that has a nice body like the eclipse and tiburon. and in an '02 - '05 model thats usually under 20,000. Is it normal that i need to press my cars clutch to start it, i got a Hyundai Accent 1997? is it a problem if you need to statrt your car by deprresing the clutch or it is a standard feature for Hyundai accent.

Why are American cars still lagging behind Japanese, Korean, and German automakers in terms of reliability? Seriously, I sometimes wonder why most American cars are still unreliable, junky cars. Almost all Japanese and German cars are considered reliable, quality cars, and the Korean cars (Hyundai, etc.) have even come into their own. However, American cars are still widely regarded as being unreliable, rather ugly cars...they're not slick or refined. Why is this? Why have Ford, GM, Chevrolet, etc. not been able to improve their vehicles after all these years? Under the hood they're not nearly as good and in terms of styling, they just (in general) look cheap compared to most Japanese, European, and Korean models. What is up with the American car automakers?
