Mazda, Protege - Sound comes when I start my car. Is this a hint of some major/minor issue? When ever I start my Mazda, Protege car, it gives a Queeking sound (as if some belt is getting abraded) for couple of seconds. It stops after that. No issues observed after that during driving. I want to know if this sound is a hint of some potential issue which I should fix right away.

Why does Mazda Service have a bad reputation? The Mazda series of cars and trucks are great products. Is the Corporate Culture undermining the Service Departments. I have read over and over again, from Michigan, Ohio, Canada to the Southwest part of the US, every body itches and moans about Mazda Service. I personally would recommend a Mazda car/truck to someone, but I would not feel comfortable in recommending to them to get their car serviced at the dealership. And I certainly would not feel they are in good hands with the Mazda Warranty Department; I believe it is based in Irvine, California. From my own personal experience I was left un-impressed to say the least.

I live about 4 miles from a Pontiac dealer and about an hour drive away from a Mazda dealer. The cars seem to be about the same price when all is said and done. The Pontiac gets better gas mileage, but the Mazda is bigger.

hi, i am trying to get a new car, i prefer a mazda 3, will you recommend this? how about other cars? i got my eye on a honda civic 2008, a mazda 3, a chevrolet, but my top choice is a mazda 3, what do you think? why and why? any expiriences about these cars? thanks! yeah, i read it has only 106HP that comes with the mazda3 1.6L AT V.. versus the Honda Civic 2008, 150HP's at the same price range and relatively good security system because i feel safer if your car has the immobilizer features.. but then again, i love the mazda's sporty look.. wheew, i have come down with two choices.. an it's a tought one.. a mazda 3 1.6L 104HP that offers at 6000rpm, Automatic transmission, a lip biting sinister sporty look, a relatively good interior with telescoping dash, safety, VS a Honda Civic 2008 which boast a 140HP at 6300rpm, MANUAL TRANSMISSION, tough notch interior designing, relatively good exterior look (which cannot surpass mazda3 by the way) excellent safety measures. whew..... what to do? they even go with the same price level.. where should i go? Power Vs Looks? i know it depends on what i need, and what i want.. but im asking you guys, what do you want?
