I am buying a used 2001 Tracker boat; what should I look for when testing driving it and inspecting it? It appears to be in very good condition. The only thing I noticed was the propeller looked a little dinged up at its ends. But no major dents or anything.

Looking for information on 1987 Bass Tracker Bass Boat? I just purchased a 1987 Bass Tracker Bass Boat, While I had some electrical problems I have worked most of them out rewiring the entire boat. I was wondering if anybody knew if there is a manual for this boat? I was wondering what the weight of this boat actually is? The winch strap just broke a couple of days ago and now I need to put on a new winch. I want to make sure the winch I use is either the correct weight or higher.

Need left side of Avalanche Tracker 2007 boat? Boat was hit on left front side. It is pre-formed aluminum and I need the top rail extruded part. Need about 4 ft not damaged which can be cut out and I can replace on my boat. Maybe there is another like boat that has been damaged and the left front is still good. concerns with my new tracker boat? I just bought a new Tracker Targa 175 SC fishing boat. After taking the boat fishing over laborday weekend I was overall very satisfied with it. There were a couple of problems that I noticed and I am hoping to get some advise. First, the rpms max out at over 7000 with the Mercury Optimax 115 at only half throttle. When I first noticed this it scared the crap out of me but noticed that the motor seemed to be running fine. It sounded perfectly normal and ran great. I broke it in for about 3 hours on Mille Lacs with no problems. I am wondering if anyone else has had an rpm gauge that was inaccurate. Also, the rear livewell will occasionally leak water onto the battery. It didn't cause any problems but I am wondering if this is okay. Lastly, the boat goes 35 mph at WOT and it should go 40 to 41. Is this because the motor is new? Any advise or personal experiences with tracker boats would be greatly appreciated. Thanks PS- Purple jigs tipped with leaches are deadly right now at Mille Lacs

Gas for Boats? Okay I have two boats...one is a 2006 bass tracker boat and the other is a pontoon boat my bass boat takes straight unleaded gas and no oil mixed in it and my pontoon boat takes gas mixed with oil 50 to 1 would it be okay to put the pontoon boat gas ( already mixed with oil ) and put that gas into my bass boat? I accidently filled all of my gas cans with gas and mixed them all with oil.. 50 to 1 it is a 4 stroke motor

Aluminum vs Fiberglass bass boats? I have been looking at new bass boats and it seems that the aluminum ones tend to be less expensive than the fiberglass ones. For example, a 16 foot aluminum Bass Tracker with a 50 hp 2-stroke mercury was about $13K. While a 16 foot nitro with a 90 hp 2-stroke mercury was about 19K. I have heard that aluminum is lighter and so the HP on the motors can be lower while still giving enough power to get though the water. What do you think are the advantages/disadvatages of aluminum vs fiberglass for bass boats?

Want to buy a bass boat that cant sink, what brand and how much? Last summer me and two friends went fishing down in the everglades and took my old Bass tracker. Its a good boat but what I didnt know was that if its shot full of holes that thing will sink and you cant even get to the bottom to plug them up until you get back to the dock. A dang ole snake fell out of a low hanging tree while we were easing along and wouldnt you know that idiot ex brother inlaw of mine jumped up and pulled a 38 out of his belt and emptied it into the bottom of my boat trying to hit that blasted snake (which he didnt). We all almost crapped our pants jumping around running from bullets and the snake. By then the boat had drifted out into the river and was taking on water. No one wanted to get down off the seats but we tried to plug the holes but couldnt get the flooring up and she went down like a bag of hammers. Then we were in the water with the snake. What a weekend. Do you think anyone else in the world has troubles like I do?

I need a lower unit for my boat engine...any ideas??? I have a 1990 40 hp Evinrude Tracker boat engine that's lower unit has gone bad. I need a working lower unit for it. I could use anything from 1990-1992 unit and anything from 40 - 50 hps as a replacement. I have looked in every conceivable place, but I am coming up empty at this point.
