Does anyone know of a UK retailer for inflatable pontoon fishing boats? I've seen a lot of these dual-hulled inflatable pontoon boats used in America for fly fishing and i'm interested in getting one for my father's birthday. They're also know as catarafts i think or as a variation of float tubes. They have two inflatable bladders with a seat suspended between and a bar to rest your feet on and they make great inflatable fishing boats. I can see plenty for sale in the US but none in the UK. Are there any businesses out there shipping these to the UK?

How do you prevent barnacles from attaching to alluminum pontoon boat used in salt water and brakish water? I have a new Avalon Pontoon Boat which has been in salt water for one month. I pulled it out recently and found a considerable amount of baricles attached to the pontoons and the motor. What can I use to reduce or prevent this problem. I used a pressure washer to remove as many of the barnicles from the engine and pontoons, but portions of the pontoons can not be reached while on the trailer. Even after powerwashing with straight water, there is a roughness to the pontoons. What can be done to remove the roughness and coat the pontoons.

How can I make a homemade outboard motor steering system for a pontoon boat? I have built a 3 hull 8 man pontoon boat. It is 13' x 8'. It has three hull's and a wood framed platform 10' x 8'. There is a tiki hut framed canopy covering the platform with 3' high bamboo siding around the perimeter. There is wood framed benches running along the back and both sides. I have framed a 2" x 6" motor mount along the back of the hull's. I'm thinking of getting a 8 to 9.9 hp outboard motor for it. I have not the slightest clue how I'm going to steer this boat. There is a 3' low wall that runs along the back of the boat and the out board motor will mount about 2'-6" behind the captains seat. How can I connect a steering system or connect an extension to the throtle where I can steer the boat? Please help?

Is it feasable to take a motor off my fishing boat and put it on a pontoon? My old cajun bass boat it in pretty bad shape but the motor (a 90 HP Johnson) runs like a top.
