Which is the better boat for Bass fishing? I am looking to buy a new boat here soon. I'm leaning towards a Skeeter and a Triton. But if you own one of the following it would be great if you could give me a short review on them. Thanks! Triton Ranger Nitro Skeeter
What is the best fish and ski boat? I have looked at Skeeter, Ranger, and Triton.

Who here fishes out of a boat? Don't care if it is a inflatable raft, to a cabin cruiser. Just wondering who fishes out of a boat. Mine is a '04 Triton powered by a 200 Optimax Have had my rig in as little as 1.5 ft of water. I am also looking to buy a john boat for a couple of the local rivers around here. Stop I hear you and agree 100 % This is my 6th and final boat, and was a retirement present from my wife.
I have a question about the towing capacity of my truck because I am wanting to buy a boat? I am considering buying a Triton Bass boat but I am concerned I will not be able to tow it with my small truck. I have a 1995 Nissan Pickup Truck. It is a straight drive 4 X 4 and is only a 4 Cyl.. My main concern is backing down a boat ramp and not being able to pull my boat back up out of there. Not to mention I live in WV and there are no shortage of hills in this area. The boat is 19' long and the Hull weight alone is 1650 lbs. I figure by the time I add fuel, an engine, and my gear it will be right at 2000 lbs. I currently have a boat and trailer that weighs around 600 lbs and I can't even tell I'm pulling anything when I'm hooked to it. Can I tow this 2000 lb boat up a ramp though?
hull speed and weight of sailboats? by the way, thanks for answering my questions. My question is this. If a boat length has a finite hull speed, then how much should weight really factor into a boat decision. I am using this argument in my head to justify a 7000 pound 28' pearson Triton.
WHAT is more important to a BASS ANGLER: A name-brand boat, or his fishing skills? Would you rather own a "Ranger", "Skeeter", or "Triton"? Or own a "Stratus" or "Alumacraft", "Lund" ; AND have great fishing skills? Do you think the fish you catch know the difference between a "Ranger" boat and a "Lund" boat? Isn't perhaps your GEAR(rods, reels, electronic's, ETC), even more important than owning a "top of the line" name-brand boat? I currently own 2 boats(flats:"Carolina Skiff" & bass:"Lund") and have won quite a few tourneys in them. In the tourneys i've participated in, the "Ranger", Stratus", "Skeeter", "Triton", "Nitro", guys lose & win with the same regularity that people with off-brands do. It would seem that some believe the amount you paid for your boat equals your skills as an angler. Whats your take on the subject? good fish'n!
what boat should i get? i looking a the Triton X2-21 and the Ranger Z-21. i've already decided in what motor i'm getting Mercury Pro XS 250 HP. Im just wondering what one has better ride across the water and better handling at high speeds?
Do you think the sentence on Yvonne Peabody and her business will send a message to illegal employers? Her small business was fined $6.8 million dollars and she has to serve 3 months in prison and then home confinement. A family owned commercial fishing business in Virginia and two of its owners paid $6.8 million in fines and forfeitures after pleading guilty to hiring 126 illegal aliens to work on their boats. The charge is a misdemeanor and federal prosecutors had recommended home confinement in addition to the monetary penalties, but U.S. District Judge Raymond A. Jackson sentenced Yvonne Michelle Peabody, the company’s vice president, to three months in prison. At the sentencing hearing last month, the judge said he was making an example out of Peabody, who had served on the Mid-Atlantic Fisheries Council’s law enforcement subcommittee at the same time illegal aliens had been working on the family’s eight scallop boats. She paid a $50,000 fine and will also spend an additional four months on home confinement after her release. Her father, William Peabody, will serve five months of home confinement and paid $100,000 in fines. Hiring undocumented workers or foreign crew already in the United States on a B1/B2 visa who are or were employed by another megayacht at the time of their entry is prevalent in the yachting community. The prosecution of the Peabodys is a reminder that when federal authorities choose to enforce the law, the penalties can be stiff. John E. Holloway, the Peabodys’ attorney, had argued in court that the "government took a permissive approach to the presence of illegal aliens on commercial fishing vessels." The IRS mailed notifications that some of the alien registration numbers or social security numbers workers had provided the Peabodys could be fakes. Also, U.S. Coast Guard officials boarded the Peabodys’ boats at least 13 times from 2003 to 2007 and issued only warnings when illegal aliens were found aboard. Miami attorney Michael T. Moore said he hasn’t seen this severe of a punishment in a case like this before. "Illegal aliens are under the screen and that is very, very frustrating for the Department of Homeland Security," Moore said. "The fundamental confusion that most people make is they get lost in the weeds over the flag, but you never can violate the immigration laws of the United States no matter the flag." The yachting community is as vulnerable to the same kind of prosecution in the event the U.S. government decided to enforce the immigration laws, Moore said. But he also cautioned against drawing too many parallels to the Peabody case for a few reasons, chiefly because of how the Peabodys caught the attention of law enforcement. Prosecutors became interested in the Peabodys only after Yvonne Peabody’s boyfriend, a chief petty officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, got into trouble at work for e-mailing her confidential Coast Guard information. According to court documents, in 2004 Yvonne Peabody asked boyfriend Morris Wade Hughes to send her a Coast Guard picture showing areas closed to commercial fishing. Hughes then accessed a government database, downloaded the picture and sent it to her. The picture was not classified information, but Hughes’ superiors were not happy when they found out about it. They launched an investigation into Hughes that uncovered the illegal aliens working for the Peabodys. In December, Hughes was indicted on seven charges, including unlawful access to a government computer, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and unlawful disclosure of confidential information. At his February trial, prosecutors called to the stand Yvonne Peabody to testify against Hughes, who had also been charged with sending her information about the investigation into her family’s business. The Peabodys cooperated with prosecutors and worked out a plea deal, agreeing to the hefty fines and forfeitures. A jury convicted Hughes of three misdemeanors for passing along confidential information to Yvonne Peabody. But he was acquitted of the more serious conspiracy charge, which was a felony. He is scheduled to be sentenced later this year. Moore also said Newport News, Va., where the Peabodys’ business was based, is a tougher port because of its proximity to the U.S. Navy base in Norfolk. "When we have yachts going to Newport News, we ask them: ‘Do you have to go there?’" Moore said. "We’ve had too many troubles there. I have spoken to no less than then the head guy at Homeland Security, and at that location, they are taking no prisoners." http://www.the-triton.com/megayachtnews/index.php?news=2504
on the little mermaid, how did Eric get changed out of his uniform into old clothes that fast? near the end when Ursula changed back and Ariel turned back into a mermaid, Eric has a uniform on. Yet immediately after the scene with Ursula/Trition/Ariel, Eric is shown in a row boat with his old attire on, as if he had changed that fast even in spite of everything that had just happened. Also, the scene takes place as the sun is setting, meaning that it is about to be night, yet when Eric washes upon the shore at the end it is still bright, and it is in fact later on shown to be "morning" (when they have the wedding) even though the sun just set! How? And when Ariel got onto the boat to stall the weding she had shoes on, yet when the shell containing her "voice" broke she was barefooted. How? And how did Eric have boots on when he went to rescue Ariel, yet not have them on when he washes upon shore? Also, if you notice Ursula is holding Ariel's right arm as she moves through the water, yet when talking to Triton she is somehow suddenly holding her left arm. also, fish are not capable of closing their eyes (which is why dead fish always have their eyes open). So how was flounder closing his eyes?
