Used cars? What are the best used cars for teenagers. All i need is something that runs with a radio. How much should i expect to pay for something remotley nice?
What is a good site to look for used cars in my area besdies craigs list? I am looking for a used first car that is some where between 1 and 4k and i have been using mostly craigs list, whats a good place to look for these cars i tried ebay and a few others but they are more for 'new' used cars that are mostly 10k and over. Any ideas, craigs list is great i just want more sites to look for cars to open my options. Thanks a lot.
The best used cars for the environment? I'm a college student planning on buying my first car. In the past I've only had hand-me-downs from my parents or borrowed their cars for things. Now I'm going to need my own car, but since I'm a poor college student I want to buy used. The trouble is, I also want a car that is better for the environment. Hybrids are expensive, so it makes the most sense to find a highly fuel-efficient model from around 2000-2002. What cars fit this description?
Used car value for cars that are sold before or after the model year? How do i determine used car value for cars that are on the road before the model year or after the model year. I'm looking for value of a 06 model, that was on road starting 05, Jun. I got kelly blue book values but i believe they don't look at when the car was sold. They only look for mileage, options and model. Thanks.
What are good websites with user reviews on used cars? I am going to buy a used car made between year 2000 to 2004. I checked Edmunds.com, which has some user reviews, but not many. Is there another website what has more user reviews than edmunds.com? Yahoo Auto only has reviews for new cars. i am looking for reviews on the model made before 2004.
A good website to search for used cars? I need to buy an affordable, reliable used car with good gas mileage. It doesnt have to be huge or anything special. Any suggestions of where I can look for cars with valid info? (especially online) has anyone boughten from auctions?
Where is the best place to go for used cars in Southern California? I'm looking for a used car for my brother, something gas-saving, like a 92+ Honda Civic, 94+ Honda Accord or 95+ Toyota Corolla. Something around roughly $3,000 and around 130K miles. Already tried Carmax but most of their cars are around $10K. Does anyone know of a used car place?
Does anyone know a phone number for people that buy used cars? I am talking about those people who say that they "buy used cars, or trucks, running or not." I am looking to sell a 1981 Firebird, it needs some work in order to run well, but other wise, its good. I am looking to sell it for at least $3,000. If you know of any number or person that buys old used cars, let me know! Thanks. I am selling, NOT buying.
What are the best options in used cars in India? I want to spend about Rs.1.5L on buying a used car. The car should have AC and should have been manufactured after 2000. I am willing to buy any brand (other than Tata). What are my options? Any advice on the subject of used cars is welcome!! :-)
Why there are many nice used cars sale in Japan? When I traveled in Japan,I saw many used cars on sale. Almost these cars are new and fashion looks like not an old car. Does Japanese buy a new car and use it just few years like 3 three years then sold it and buy another new one?
Why do so many people think all used cars are bad? I bought a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville with 64,000 miles in 2003 for $2,300. I just lost the water pump and had to spend $300 on the repair. When people hear this a lot of them say I should have bought new because I'm "wasting money" and all used cars are junk. Book value on the car was $3,500 when I bought it and I've only spent 600 on repairs (lost the AC compressor in 05') so I figure I got a deal anyway. The only thing thats faulty on Bonnevilles is the cooling system and thats after 10+ years of use. All other components will last forever. My parents spent 14,000 total on a 98' Crown Vic and a 99' Mazda p/u in 02' they've only had 500 in repairs on each in almost 5 years. They bought both from a reputable dealer and had them inspected. It annoys me when people tell me spending 2900 total is worse than 20000 on a new vehicle. Don't these people think? All of the vehicles we have bought have been consumer reports best buys for used cars. Not everyone wants to have a 7 year car loan! It's really irritating to have some stranger tell me that my paid-in-cash vehicle is worse than their paying-lots-of-interest fees on car. I just moved into the suburbs from a rural area and get this a lot up here. Back home, no one said this to me. I just got a high-paying job with a credit card company and although I can afford a new car I refuse to buy one. She's pretty reliable so why would I want to go into debt just so I can keep up with the Jones'?
I am used car dealer and i want to give warranty on my cars? Hi, I am small used car dealer and i began selling used cars like 2 yrs ago, but i heard average dealer sells about 30 cars a month. I want to sell at least 4 cars a month. But if i can give warranty customer will buy from me otherwise i'll be only selling about 10 cars a year. Can someone tell me how can i give warranty to my customer. Please help me thank you

What do americans think about unmarked police cars used to catch speeders? I have noticed a trend lately in the police community to use cars that look like regular cars (shows nothing that it is a police car) to catch people speeding. I believe it is a bad idea for anyone could get flashing lights and sirens from radio shack and pretend to be a cop. It is giving crimminals a chance to commit fraud while pretending to be police. I also believe it is a step towards having a secret police in the US and that is not a good thing. Ever. The idea if you don't do anything wrong, don't worry is false. Innocent people get harrased by police and I have seen it and experienced myself first hand. Not all cops are good guys. What I am getting at is police looking like average people will make it easier those who are crimminals to pose as undercover agents who happen to have plainclothes and unmarked cars. I agree with the final guy that the person when they pull you over must be in uniform. However, I have seen in these unmarked cars plainclothes police walking out to give a ticket. This is what I disagree with. For in the short run, yes it will get results, however in the long run, crooks will pose as such people and the general population will begin to trust the police less as the result of this. I seriuosly hope you understand what I mean. To those who say if you did not break the law, dont worry about a thing is not accurate. KBG were a form of secret police and those who they sent to the labor camps were not guilty of any real crime, but of speaking out against the current person in charge of the country. Think about it.
used cars?? okay, i have a really shity car that i dont like, and looking for a new one. Trying to find something cheap but something that will last me a while. Anyone know of any used cars in the auburn area?
Used Cars.? Are there any used car dealerships that put up what cars they have for sale and all that online?
used cars? what kind of used cars are more reliable to last mechanically and gas wise...(and i mean CHEAP CARS)
Used Cars? Does anyone knows any internet web pages were I could buy/look @ used cars?
Used Cars...? IS there anyone out there who can explain what you need to look for if you're buying a used car as a "first time car"? I really do not want to spend a lot of money on a first time car for my son. He will actually be paying for most of it so he really doesn't have much to go on. He's ok with his first time car being a jalopy. He is moving to the ny area soon. Any advise?
used cars!? i bought a 9,000$ used car about 1-2 years ago and i want to trade it for a 8,000 dollar used car..how much do you think i would have to end up paying???
Used cars??? Whats a good used car tht has great mileage and cost below $15,000? Could u include a link or just tell me the brand and i'll look it up.
Used cars? Im thinking about buying a used car and ive never done it before how many miles should it have to be safe?
Used cars? I'm trying to purchase a used car probably from a dealership, what things should I look for and try to get when trying to make a deal?
Used cars? Anyone know a good reliable website I can go on to buy a decent used car?
Used Cars...? Anybody know some good websites that have cars for sale by owner or private party sells? In Utah, left that out
Used cars?? If you're buying a car (and Im thinking of a Yaris, automatic), what is it better to go for, youngest car, or least miles on the clock. in other words, if for example you had a car from 2001 with 50k on the clock or a car from 2000 but with 40k on the clock, which is the best one to go for??
Used cars? Okay tell me if I've got this: There is an SUV that's $17,000. It's 3 years old low mileage. kbb says they should be offering it at $17,000, so it sounds fair. But, this was probably a trade-in, therefore they didn't pay much for it. I checked on kbb what the trade-in value is for it, the trade-in value is $11,000. So I'm thinking they bought it from someone for around $11,000. Should I use that information and try to get them to come down from 17 to say around 14,000? Please e-mail me. Thanks in advance.
When looking at used cars to buy, what is the relationship between the thousands of miles and the car itself? Hello friends, I was just browsing the classifieds and looking at the used cars section and noticed how a lot of the ads will list things such as 'low mileage' or list how many thousands of miles the car has such as '50k miles' and things of that nature. I don't know too much about cars, but what is the significance of how many miles a car has in relation to its performance or whatever else you can gauge about the car by looking at how many miles has been logged onto the car? Does having more miles on a car mean that it will break down a lot, or how can you tell? What is a safe amount of miles to look at when buying a used car, because I've seen used cars in the ads that range from 20k to 200k miles logged onto the car. Any other tips? And just a side rant, man, a lot of these 'used' cars cost so much money, even though they are many years old and have many thousands of miles on them. You might as well buy a new car for how much some of these cars are listed for in the classifieds.
which of these used cars is best? 1) http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/chevrolet-cavalier-cars135959049 2) http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/saturn-sc-cars135803601 or 3)http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/chevrolet-cavalier-cars135958915 i think these are all relatively nice used cars. can anyone help me on which is best? i need a car soon. mine is not going to last much longer
Why used cars come with only one key? A lot of dealerships, especially used cars, when they sell you a car you only get one key. And I hear comments like: "since this is used car, we only get one key..." It happened to me many times and I had to cut another one just in case. (~$100 plus programming at the dealer) Do used car dealers intentionally throw away extra keys, for whatever reason? Or is this because when previous owner traded in or sold the car, they drove with only one key?
Best make for used cars? Well, I'm looking to buy a used car, and I have up to $4000 to spend (first car, so thats pretty good). So I was wondering what the best make was for used cars in this price range (I know I'll be getting around 100k miles). I also wanted to know specifically how Audis are at this price range (I can find some with 100k miles on them), so basically how do Audis run at 100k. And one last question, how reliable are car auctions? I was thinking about checking out a car auction, since I could get some cars dirt cheap. Do you think I'll get screwed at a car auction or what? Is it a good idea to go? Thanks in advance for you answers.
Certified Used cars - no bargaining? I saw a certified used car (Acura) that I wanted - when I purchased new cars I always got anywhere from 10 ~ 14% off the asking price, but certified used rep was only willing to give me 1.5% off!!! Is that the norm for certified used cars? Its an 07 Acura MDX w/ tech pack selling at 34,995, but they will only let it go for 34,445 I want it for 31,000 - is that unreasonable?
Are used cars in the Philly and/or Lancaster, PA area cheaper than in Central Jersey? I'm on a strict budget and I'm looking for my first car. I'm 17, a high school student and part-time cashier at my local Target working at $7.25 an hour (due for a raise, i hope, in a month or two). I just got my license but it seems my insurance is expensive and so are decent used cars here. I'm looking for anything that is basically automatic and will run. I can't tell you what my exact budget is right now, because I don't have much in my savings (thanks to the first 3 months of insurance, driving lesson before the road test, and bad spending habits that I'm trying to drastically reduce). Since the average income isn't as high in Pennsylvania as it is in New Jersey (mainly because of property tax and location), are used cars in the Philly area or Lancaster County area cheaper than central Jersey? Only reason I'm looking only in Philly and Lancaster is because Philly isn't too far from me and my sister goes to school in the Lancaster area. Any sources will be appreciated!
Are used cars reliable? I am trying to get a used honda s2000. It will still be under waranty for another year or two. My mom says used cars are crap and have problems and I should buy a new civic instead. But everyone has a civic and I am in love with the s2000. I checked with my insurance company and the used s2000 insurance is cheaper than a new civic. And they are about the same price. So, is it okay if I get a used s2000 from car max? I love this car and really want it and don't want to be like everyone else with a damn civic.
new and used cars? is there really that big of a difference in the quality if a new or used car? what i mean is let's say you have 2 cars, a brand new one and a very well taken care of used one....is there just as much of a chance of something happening to the new car as the used car in regards to like a part messing up or something going wrong with the engine, etc etc...?
What car makes and models make the best USED cars? I am going to go look at cars today (mine was recently totaled in an accident) and I'd like some feedback on which cars are known to be good used cars. I've had a few suggestions such as Dodge Stratus, Chevy Malibu, etc. My last car was a used Dodge Stratus and I had no problems with it but I'd like a different make and model this time. I don't care about glammer, just want reliability. I'm looking to spend around $5000-$6000. I'd appreciate any tips. Thanks!
Here is a question for car dealerships in CA taking in used cars for trade ins? Let's say you are a car dealership for Honda, Mercedes, Volvo, Ford, whatever (not your standard used car only), and you take in a used car for a trade in. A relatively new car, 2001, 81700 miles and 1 owner. Other than detailing the car inside & out, providing a smog, and an oil change, what do you do to prepare this car to put on your lot to sell to the public with all your other used & new cars? Do you run a full diagnostics, do a tune-up, etc. When taking the car in as a trade, is it customary to ask the owner if they have more than 1 key and if they have any of the service records as well as keeping up on the service, etc? Thanks! Here's the deal, I bought a 2001 VW 1.8 Turbo Beetle (manual), there was no advertising of this vehicle as they barely had the car 24 or 48 hours. I bought it 2 weeks ago today & finished the process at 8:30pm. I questioned the broken/missing pin in the glove box, got a rashen of s**t about it being used, questioned the spoiler that had a 1" gap so it wasn't on the car, got the same rashen of s**t, the only they they agreed to fix was the ripped drivers seat. I got this line about they only fix safety related items. Drove the car home & the safety brake light on the trunk was hanging out & it wouldn't clip into place so on Monday I took it in, they tried to argue with me about it & I said it was a "safety brake light" which is what the car insurance companies call it so they fixed it but whined the whole time. Then the 6 days after I had it that spoiler that I questioned them about came 1/2 way off, so I called the original salesman, got voicemail & left a message about it stating.... it is now a safety issue since I'm about to run over it if it falls off anymore. I asked that he call me & I also stated that it makes me wonder what they checked under the hood if anything & asked to see their diagnostics on it. Surprise - no return phone call. I called the 2nd salesman in regards to a key to see if they would cut & program one if I bought one off eBay, he said I should talk to the 1st guy & I told him what happened with the spoiler, & that I had to pay someone to fix it for me since it wasn't just a quick align the clips & go. He understood, but wasn't sure what he could do for me since he was basically the middle man not the originator of the sale but he would try to do something. Well yesterday the car started acting up, spuddering, spuddering even more when shifting gears, the check engine light came on & it let out some pretty nasty exhaust fumes! Haven't contacted the dealership yet. Was just curious as to what the norm is on trade-ins with other dealerships. I plan on writing a letter to the head of that particularly large dealership (they own several in the county) about my great experience with the 2nd salesman but my lousy experience with the 1st one as well as the issues with the car. I bought the car for $8200, it has a sunroof/moonroof, turbo, 5 speed, 6 cd changer in trunk 81,700, that mint green color, unfortunately no warranty but for the problems I'm having it really makes me wonder what they should've done before selling the car to me or anyone. Thanks! Well Mark, I have no problem paying for a car to get fixed but to have it start falling apart within the 2 weeks I've had to tells me they didn't check the car out at all which is BS in my opinion. A friend of mine works for a dealership & he said none of their used cars ever left the lot in the condition that this one was. And yes I know I spelled ration of shit wrong! I realized it after I hit submit so get off my freaking case about spelling jerk! I'm sorry but the way this car is falling apart I would expect that from someone who lives around the corner from my NOT from a dealer! And as far as the key goes, I had planned of buying one but not at the almost $300 they want for a key, from what I understand some dealers will cut & program if you bring one in &I had planned on paying for that service. I've bought used cars before & never had problems, I'm trying to find out what the dealer checks for so quit being such a freaking jerk! I'm not asking for a brand spanking new VW, I'm expecting the car to run properly & not fall apart the minute I drive it off the lot.......new or used! It's people like you Mark that give others a bad name on Yahoo Answers and leave a bad taste in peoples mouths! Thank goodness I know that there are decent people on this board, unlike yourself! xx_Satanic_Mechanic: Thanks for your answer, it was very helpful and insightful (unlike others). I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question!! Thanks again!

Used Cars For Teens? I just got my license and looking for a used car. Im looking for something thats not a beater or old. Which used cars are best? And how many miles are safe? Which cars (Chevy, BMW, Honda, Toyota, etc.) are the best to buy used? And how many miles are safe on a maintained, used car? Is it safe to buy a certain car type with 150,000 miles on it if it's been well-maintained?
Reliable Used cars? I was wondering, for this list of cars, I was wondering if these were reliable cars to buy as used cars with say under 90k Miles on them? Years usually varying around 2000-2003 -Mitsubishi Lancer -Nissan Altima -Hyundai Sonata Just for the sake of keeping money at priority I was wondering how worthy these cars realiablity stands up to my obvious first choices of the Camry and the Accord. Any help appreciated, but personal expereince is better.
used cars dealer? hi, i live in quebec, and i am wondering how do you start your own used car dealer?? i guess you first need to buy a commercial lot, and get certain permits. but what about taces, when you buy cars, do you pay taxes?? and what about auctions, how can i go there and buy cars for cheap and resell them? if you have any info, please share
Do used cars have "dealer invoices"? I know that with new cars, using the dealer invoice to negotiate the best price is the way to go. Do used cars have an "invoice" or a purchase price for that dealer that the buyer can see?
cheap used or new cars any tips? where can i buy cheap cars from? dont mind used cars am looking for an audi A3,A4 or bmw 320d ive been told to travel up north for cheap cars any tips or contacts?
"Best" used cars under $6000? A lot of people say you can't find a decent car for $6000 but I disagree. What are your opinions of the most reliable used cars in this price range and below? Cost to insurance, reliability, MPG, etc.
Anybody know which used cars Consumer Reports says are best? I need to buy a new car. Mine died yesterday. I want to know what used cars are good buys. I would really like a Honda, Intrepid, or Saturn. My mom had a Honda that ran forever. I had an old Consumer Reports book she gave me, but I can't find it. I think it said Intrepid were good in the 93-94 model years. Do you know if this is correct? Also I want to keep my insurance cost down. The lady I spoke to said cars w/more safety features and ones that seems to be overall good car are usually lower in insurance cost. Please help! I need to find a new car ASAP! I don't really care what year it is. My first car was a 90. I just want it to be reliable. I need something I can have for a few years before I get a new one. Thanks!
Some Questions about Used Cars in England? 1. Why do most cars have 1 lady owner? Why is that a Good Thing? Most ladies I drove with either labour the engine or rev it to sh*t when they miss a gear. They also make parking scrapes. 2.What does 'No Canvassers' mean in Used Car classifieds? 3.What does FSH mean, does it mean it had a valet(the sound of a water hose) or does it mean it has a FISH on the back(one Christian owner?)-not nec. a good thing as Christians drive fast and carelessly because God is in control? 4.Why do people have their cars Debadged? It obviously means its a low spec car but they dont want anyone to know but they do because it has been debadged! 5.Why do people waste thousands of £ for personalized number plates? Dont they realise they look like Idiots? They dont even look like what theyre supposed to spell? And 'Fist to see will Buy!' is this true, are they at Gunpoint from Dodgy dealer? This is very funny and informative, what about: 6.First to see will buy!
USED CARS web site? what is the biggest web site for used cars in USA ? also is there othe for korean models?

Used cars online? Where can I find Metro Detroit used cars online? I've checked craigslist, but I'd like someother place to look at too. Or if you're selling in Metro Detroit, I'm looking at under $1000, any number of miles, fuel efficient, CAR (not SUV, minivan, truck, etc.). Thanks in advance ~Shorty~
Used Cars: Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla or Nissan Maxima? So I am looking for a used cars, and I narrow my choices to an 04 Maxima, or 05 Camry or Corolla. I'm leaning toward the Camry or Corolla seeing how gas is about to be $4 soon, but I like the large trunk space of the Maxima. But the fuel economy is great in the Corolla but it has the smallest trunk space compare to the other one. What should I choice?
Honda vs. Toyota and Used Cars vs. New Cars? I'm a junior in high school and I am looking forward to buy a car. I think I might move to New York to go to NYU, but since I have not gotten accepted, I do not know for sure. But if I get accepted, I will not need a car. I am thinking about choosing either Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla and since I might have to resell it, I need a really good deal. Also, I am not sure if it is better idea to buy a new car than an old car. So please give me an answer if i should get either Honda or Toyota and Used Cars or New Cars Thank you
