Hey"Toyota expert". Do any of the other Toyota cars use the same engine as the Camry? Specifically, the 1990 Camry! It seems that all the Camrys are "gold plated" around here, and it is cheaper to buy another car than change out the engine! Can buy" broken" ones in most other models pretty cheap, - but "broken" Camry running in excess of $600 around here, (if you can find one for that even!) If other models have same engine (in this case a 16 valve 4 cyl), - regular engine would be ok, as long as computer could be adapted to run same...... I see other models "all over the place",- that have been rear-ended, (or otherwise wrecked leaving engine compartment intact), - or ones with brakes, or transmission out -- available for $250 or so. This is for a grandson that is going to college, so he doesn't have a whole lot of excess money right now! I used to know all this kind of stuff when I worked in foreign car garage 30 years ago, but I saw no need to keep up anymore! Watching Craig's list, -same prices as mentioned above, - also in excess of 100 miles to tow or haul, -everthing is far apart in Texas!

How come Toyota builds their cars so cheap? I drove a 2004 Toyota Corrolla while in Florida and if there was any type if wind it was flying all over the place it was built so light. My friend had a 2000 Toyota Camry and had to get rid of it because the engine needed to be replaced because it wasn't installed correctly out of the plant. The accelerator stuck so you could be accelerating too go on to the freeway but you'd have to lay off the accelerator for a while so it would unstick. Very dangerous. Now wonder why they got sued for using cheap parts!

why do Toyota models made in europe tend to look alot like European cars? Same as Toyota models thats made in the usa tend to look like American cars. Also having European/ American features on their cars that Toyota doesn't use on their official cars (ones made in Japan). This not just Toyota..but so is other car makes! Like they do it to fit the environment! ex: the Toyota corolla model that sales in Europe has european features than the one thats sold in usa. Normally toyota puts a light inside of the sliding door on the sun visor...but the European corolla has the sun visor light on the ceiling just like mercedes- benz has! The reason foreign cars thats made outside of its country is to let other countries take over (a little bit) on the styling features/ styles to make it fit their environment ..making it similar to their cars!?
