Noah tell others to build boats but what if they already have boats? What happens?
If they have their own boats then why need to build new ones? Since they don't have to have to save animals then their boats don't have to be too big but just enough for their own family members. They would save their father, mother who are old and their babies and kids. Maybe no space for cousins. What if one is too poor to buy tools to cut down wood to build their own boats? Who will help them? Humans loved to worship God or Gods so that means they believe in mighty God all along. I do not believe only Noah's family worship this one God only. There must be more. If not many more then at least 10 families if using statistics. Let's assume the world was covered with water for 40 days, there would still be survivors if people started to see there was a huge flood. Also, those people with boats would have had ropes to climb up to Noah's boat the take over that boat and killed Noah's family in a real situation. As believers say all humans were wicked including disabled, blinded, babies, those who are deaf. God killed them all because they are wicked. The armies who have huge boats should have survived as well and may or could have set fire to Noah's boat as well or climb on to throw Naoh's family over and they all died out. Unless God used his mighty power to destroyed all boats except Noah's. Also, if people saw a flood is coming, they could have used some methods to climb onto Noah's boat to survive. If there are many humans then that would be the case if they see a huge boat around. They are not going to wait too long if Noah did told them the warning of a God's flooding the world.

- The bible : not a history book.
- Your working on suppositions.
- so if God tells you to build a boat, are you really going to look at Him and say, "but I already have one!"?
- They all sank.
- Well, based on the bible, other people have boats, but one particular sadistic creature destroy all of them so he can save this precious one person from the Earth he spent 7 days to create and 40 days to flood ..... geeee.....
- I personally believe that Noah was told by God to warn all of the sin of man on Earth. At that time God was very hurt that man was abusing HIS land for sinful purposes and just wanted to wipe the slate clean. You will not that shorly after that thought , God also commented that "He would never again destroy HIS land for the sake of HIS people!" I believe that even more now! God may swipe many people from the face of the Earth, but HE will save HIS Land for the more deserving!
- just see if you can build a boat big enough to weather 40 days and 40 nights, and stock it with enough food to feed 10 people.
- well in the story, the rain was for 40 days and nights, and that's without the flood water period, all those people with boats would have had to have food, or they fished. they probally fished. your right, i'd say more than ten.
- Your question is irrelevant, because God didn't tell anyone except Noah to build a boat. And Noah did as he was told, without question or back-talk.
- If you will read the book of Genesis starting at Chapter 8 verse 9. you will get your answer. That is if you want to know what really happened or you can read the answers to you question and get a lot of speculation.
- Dear unable to, Noah did not instruct anyone to build boats. He received instructions from God to build a boat- and he did invite others to come into his boat. God does not call people do things and not provide for them... God provided the materials necessary for Noah to build the Ark that He had instructed Noah to build. At that time the Earth was so full of wickedness that Noah's family was the only one who trusted in God. You can read Genesis C. 8 and C.9 to get a better idea of Noah's story. But in your question- what you stated has no basis- because Noah did not ask anyone to build a boat-- he just followed God's instructions and is an example of faith. Kindly, Nickster
- God revealed in the Holy Quran About the Beloved Prophet Noah, peace be upon Him: Chapter 7 59. We sent Noah to his people. He said: "O my people! worship Allah. ye have no other god but Him. I fear for you the punishment of a dreadful day! 60. The leaders of his people said: "Ah! we see thee evidently wandering (in mind)." 61. He said: "O my people! No wandering is there in my (mind): on the contrary I am an apostle from the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds! 62. "I but fulfil towards you the duties of my Lord's mission: Sincere is my advice to you, and I know from Allah something that ye know not. 63. "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?" 64. But they rejected him, and We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark: but We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people! Chapter 11 25. We sent Noah to his people (with a mission): "I have come to you with a Clear Warning: 26. "That ye serve none but Allah. Verily I do fear for you the penalty of a grievous day." 27. But the chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "We see (in) thee nothing but a man like ourselves: Nor do we see that any follow thee but the meanest among us, in judgment immature: Nor do we see in you (all) any merit above us: in fact we thing ye are liars!" 28. He said: "O my people! See ye if (it be that) I have a Clear Sign from my Lord, and that He hath sent Mercy unto me from His own presence, but that the Mercy hath been obscured from your sight? shall we compel you to accept it when ye are averse to it? 29. "And O my people! I ask you for no wealth in return: my reward is from none but Allah. But I will not drive away (in contempt) those who believe: for verily they are to meet their Lord, and ye I see are the ignorant ones! 30. "And O my people! who would help me against Allah if I drove them away? Will ye not then take heed? 31. "I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor claim I to be an angel. Nor yet do I say, of those whom your eyes do despise that Allah will not grant them (all) that is good: Allah knoweth best what is in their souls: I should, if I did, indeed be a wrong-doer." 32. They said: "O Noah! thou hast disputed with us, and (much) hast thou prolonged the dispute with us: now bring upon us what thou threatenest us with, if thou speakest the truth!?" 33. He said: "Truly, Allah will bring it on you if He wills,- and then, ye will not be able to frustrate it! 34. "Of no profit will be my counsel to you, much as I desire to give you (good) counsel, if it be that Allah willeth to leave you astray: He is your Lord! and to Him will ye return!" 35. Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Say: "If I had forged it, on me were my sin! and I am free of the sins of which ye are guilty! 36. It was revealed to Noah: "None of thy people will believe except those who have believed already! So grieve no longer over their (evil) deeds. 37. "But construct an Ark under Our eyes and Our inspiration, and address Me no (further) on behalf of those who are in sin: for they are about to be overwhelmed (in the Flood)." 38. Forthwith he (starts) constructing the Ark: Every time that the chiefs of his people passed by him, they threw ridicule on him. He said: "If ye ridicule us now, we (in our turn) can look down on you with ridicule likewise! 39. "But soon will ye know who it is on whom will descend a penalty that will cover them with shame,- on whom will be unloosed a penalty lasting:" 40. At length, behold! there came Our command, and the fountains of the earth gushed forth! We said: "Embark therein, of each kind two, male and female, and your family - except those against whom the word has already gone forth,- and the Believers." but only a few believed with him. 41. So he said: "Embark ye on the Ark, In the name of Allah, whether it move or be at rest! For my Lord is, be sure, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful!" 42. So the Ark floated with them on the waves (towering) like mountains, and Noah called out to his son, who had separated himself (from the rest): "O my son! embark with us, and be not with the unbelievers!" 43. The son replied: "I will betake myself to some mountain: it will save me from the water." Noah said: "This day nothing can save, from the command of Allah, any but those on whom He hath mercy! "And the waves came between them, and the son was among those overwhelmed in the Flood. 44. Then the word went forth: "O earth! swallow up thy water, and O sky! Withhold (thy rain)!" and the water abated, and the matter was ended. The Ark rested on Mount Judi, and the word went forth: "Away with those who do wrong!" 45. And Noah called upon his Lord, and said: "O my Lord! surely my son is of my family! and Thy promise is true, and Thou art the justest of Judges!" 46. He said: "O Noah! He is not of thy family: For his conduct is unrighteous. So ask not of Me that of which thou hast no knowledge! I give thee counsel, lest thou act like the ignorant!" 47. Noah said: "O my Lord! I do seek refuge with Thee, lest I ask Thee for that of which I have no knowledge. And unless thou forgive me and have Mercy on me, I should indeed be lost!" 48. The word came: "O Noah! Come down (from the Ark) with peace from Us, and blessing on thee and on some of the peoples (who will spring) from those with thee: but (there will be other) peoples to whom We shall grant their pleasures (for a time), but in the end will a grievous penalty reach them from Us." 49. Such are some of the stories of the unseen, which We have revealed unto thee: before this, neither thou nor thy people knew them. So persevere patiently: for the End is for those who are righteous.
