Should I must use Dexron II ATF? Or Dexron III is better and compatible with old ( made 1990) Toyota cars?
I have a Toyota carina ED car. Made 1990. It is 1998cc. Auto transmission ECT-S. 16 valve EFI toyota 4S engine. I mainly drive the car with CNG gas, a little in octane. According to manufacturer (toyota) I told to use Dexron II ATF. But Dexron III ATF is more good for my old car? Is it better and compatible for this old toyota car?

- The chemical formula for Dexron III is different than that of Dexron II, and since your car's transmission has been conditioned to use Dexron II, it is best if you stay with that grade of fluid.
- dexron II
