Overall are Saturn ION cars a good buy?

I am thinking about buying a Saturn ION 2004-2006 range. Does anyone know if these cars are good reliable vehicles, or should I go for an import?

1. definitely go for an import. The Ion is one of the worst cars on the road with one of the worst repair records.
2. anyone thinking of a car should consider the gas mileage and take it from there
