What kind of motorbike should i get being very peite?

I have some experience with scooters and motorcycles. The only motorcylce i have used before was my grandpa's bike which i believe is a Yamaha and its quite old since the early 90's. But im very short and i have to wear high boots or very high heels to even hop on it and my feet barely touched the ground. Im about 4'10 and i weigh about 130pds. This would be my first bike buying on my own, so are there any good sites for not too expensive bikes?

  1. Biker chick huh. Niiice. Depends on if you mean on road or off road. Off road bikes can be raised or lowered with the shocks. But many on road bikes are already low.
  2. A Rebel by Honda ...the seat is usually pretty short
  3. Hey, girlie, glad to hear you're thinking this through! You may find that a Harley Hugger / 883 is a decent fit. I have know several petite ladies to ride these. Huggers tend to be pretty low & well balanced (I think they were kind of made for the daintier built) and if you shop around, you'll find a good used one at a reasonable price.
  4. a vespa
  5. A suzuki hayabusa. That way when all the other biker girls look at you, they will think 'well at least I go faster' but the suzuki hayabusa hits 210mph easily.
  6. I think a Honda Rebel too. I ride (a Kawasaki Vulcan 800) and have been on a Rebel and they are low to the ground and not too expensive since they have been around a while. Check out www.cycletrader.com and you'll see that they are reasonably priced little bikes. They're good on gas too (about 80 miles per gallon)
  7. Check the specs on the bike, and see what the seat height is. You want something less than 750mm. The Honda Rebel is a very good choice. I learnt on one of them (called a CB250 here). They also make a very good V-Twin 250 (called a VTR250 here), which was my second bike. The Yamaha Virago 250 is also very good and popular, if you're looking for more of a laid-back cruiser style. Suzuki also have the GZ250, which has a seat height of about 650mm. Kawasaki have a 250, but it's more of a full-on sports bike. They also have the 125 eliminator, which looks like a fun bike.Have a look at them all. Good quality used ones are often available, as owners move up to a larger bike.
  8. Honda Rebel or some other small cruiser, or check out Hyosung if the Jap bikes seem to pricey (or look for a used bike). Here is a link to Hyosung cruisers: http://www.hyosungmotorsusa.com/product/cruiser/main.asp?Product=Cruiser
  9. honda rebel 250it is the most popular lil bike and has great resale
