Where can I buy a motorbike?
Hello folks, Thanks for viewing my question, here it is: Where can I buy a bike? I am looking to replace my beautiful bike that was stolen last year. I want a Yamaha FZR 600 R (Genesis) in original red, white and blue. It must be 1991 or later, be in excellent condition and within 40 miles of West London. I have £1000 to buy this bike. This should be a fairly straightforward deal but all the bikes I've seen so far have had something wrong with them or have been too expensive or too far away. Ebay is out of the question - I'm not dragging myself all over the country to view bikes just to be outbid. And please don't point me to generic sales websites like biketrader or loot unless it's a link to a specific bike. Any help would be VERY gratefully received. Cheers KaiBosh

- look for places on google!
- view this bad boy www.autotrader.co.uk Its what I use.
- Have you tried yellow pages in surrounding areas and ring them up to find out what they have in stock
- Yes i agree auto trader has it all!
- Why look for one? Why not have one find you? i.e. why not place an ad in the 'wanted' sections of biking mags stating exactly what you want? No need to put your price, just say fair / book price paid. Good luck!
- Go on autotrader.co.uk. They have a bike section, where you can specify the bike search, to find your new baby !
- try autotrader for bikes bit or contact your local bike dealers (yamaha dealer etc) and any bike dealers in your area as they are more likely to be able to find you the bike you are looking for as they all have contacts etc
- I am very much sympathetic about your bike being stolen, I would absolutely despair if my Triumph were to be stolen, i had a Honda superdream stolen some years ago, it wasn't much to look at, but it was distressing to see it smashed up on a bit of wasteground. I think you've answered your own question. As much as you dont want the hassle, if you want the exact bike you have to keep searching, Bike trader, MCN, local papers, local dealers & yes ebay.
- auto trader !!!!!!!!
