Can I use a motorbike helmet for my pushbike?

Would it be legal according to Canadian and US law? Would a $15-20 one from Walmart do?

3. I wouldnt recommend it unless you are a downhill rider...and im guessing your new to biking from this q so a motorbike helmet will be too hot for riding (you dont use pedal power/heat on a motorbike!) so no get a propper bike helmet! unless your BMX'ing...
