What is the name for the fear of the underside of boats?

My friend is petrified of the underside of boats, particularly large ships - the scene in Titanic where its snaps in two had her in a cold sweat - as did the end of Poseidon. Would be nice to give her a name for her phobia....her dad also has this fear.

  1. Ocean or sea- Thalassophobia. Waves or wave like motions- Cymophobia or Kymophobia.
  2. Keelophoebia.
  3. If it really is the actual underside of the boat, Rain has missed the point. Joe is closer to the mark, or "hullophobia". If you wanted to make the term more etymologically typical of phobias, you could google a grrek/english dictionary and use the greek term for "keel" or "hull".
  4. I think the person is claustrophobic because of being enclosed. I didn't know I was claustrophobic until I was asked to wear a bunny suit. Anything for the kids. This bunny started hyperventilating, and hopped up the bunny trail to the recreation building. The other rabbits laughed and this bunny was ready to slap them aside their ears.
