where to buy sampans(boats) + tips for staying in thailand?

hi im originally a singaporean but i live in canada now. im planning to spend at least 4 months living in thailand, mostly to have a good time due to it's cheap costs there. i am also looking into purchasing a "sampan" while im there so i can just tour around the waters. any tips on staying in thailand and where to purchase such boats?

1. I don't know much about sampans, but I guess you can rent one from someone in a fishing village. My point to you is do you know the visa requirements for staying in Thailand. You can't just some here for 4 months without leaving the country during that period. You need to check with the Thai Embassy in your area for the types of visa your qualified for.
