which motorbike? honda CBR600RR or Hyosung GT650R?

This being my first roadbike, I am not sure which one to buy. The honda is appealing, although it sounds like it lacks midrange power? Thats not good because I don't want to have to take it up to 15000 RPM doing 120mph just to experience the power :-( Hyosung, seams like much worse build quality, possibly better power curve midrange? What you guys think i should do? I have 7 - 13,000$ AUS for a bike and gear inclusive

3. The CBR600RR (and to a lesser extent the Hyosung) has more midrange power than you would want or need for a first roadbike and certainly more top end.
4. Honda, no question. As for thinking you need to take it to 15,000 RPM to reach 120mph.......well, I've no idea where you get that idea from. Have you ever actually ridden a bike before? The Honda is an inline four, so it's power band will come above about 7000RPM. Fair to say that V-Twins have more mid power roll on than an inline four but that only really means you don't have to dance through the gearbox to achieve it. Drop a cog on the Honda and you won't find it lacks power at any part of the rev range. But in the real world 7-10,000RPM will provide everything you need. I bet a dime to a dollar that 15,000RPM in top gear on the Honda equates to more like 150mph. So, like I said....not real world.
5. Easy question for me to answer... buy a Yamaha R-6. I promise that you will not be sorry you did.
6. surely those arent your only options, if you want midrange grunt with almost the power of the 600 maybe an SV1000 or a VTR1000, but if those are your only options for whatever reason i'd have to go for the honda, the hyosung would be pretty gutless in comparison, but hey how fast do you really have to go anyway?

8. I would go with the Hyosung as it is a very under rated motorcycle that will surprise those who are brave enough to try one.
9. Go with Honda, you won't regret it. Hyosung, you will be singing "Oh, I wished I would have buy the Honda." The Honda also have better resale value and will out last and out perform the "hide Yo song".. Just my personal insight...lol
