motorbike suzuki rm 1996, no compression in kick start?

the motorbike was working at one point and then just died whilst riding it and would not restart, changed the sparkplug there is a spark from it when you kick it but there is no compression when you kick start it!

1. sounds like you've dropped a valve or hole in the piston
2. Sounds like a holed piston to me too.
