  1. no not me, I didn't hear that
  2. First I've heard of it. But considering that Toyota isn't doing much with small performance cars these days, it wouldn't surprise me if the current engine design is stagnating, and Honda (or Mazda) would be the obvious replacement. There were some grey-market imported Elises...track-only, IIRC...which were brought into the US prior to official importation which were sold with Honda engines. Or at least, they were advertised for sale. I'm not 100 percent sure any were actually brought in. A discussion of those early gray-market Elises is here: http://elisetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5697&page=2 TL:DR version: None of them were imported LEGALLY for road use. Even if they managed to get registered, no one can be 100 percent sure their car won't get confiscated and/or crushed.
  3. i would love if they did so.
  4. Conversion kits already available. http://www.prototyperacing.com/Lotus.htm
  5. I wish they will, but they won't. They use the Toyota Celica engine right now.
