Can authorities take unlicensed motorbike driven on highway by adolescent and children under 12?
I live in Florida and a family across the street lets their children ride a mini motorbike on the streets around the subdivision. There is no license on the bike. The children are underage. And they run the roads weekly back and forth up and down. What can be done to stop this? Last week the underage kids were holding a toddler on their laps as they drove up and down the road.

- A law enforcement office has to catch them in the act. You can report it to the police, time and time again. But what will the neighbors do to you. Just keep a first aid kit handy for when the little bas*ards crash. You can not control other people.
- Florida really has it's problems. It sounds like they start out young. so the cops are to busy to come out and investigate.I don't blame you for complaining it is dangerous, most kids under 12 are not paying attention to what they are doing and are a pain in the butt. You could contact your police dept. and ask them if you could host a neighborhood watch meeting. They set up a meeting night for you and you invite all of your neighbors, including the jokers across the street, have the subject brought up some time in the middle of the meeting, and let the officers directing the meeting address the problem, keeps you off the hook and your other neighbors probably feel just as strongly as you do. So you'll have allies in this problem.
- Yes, you have to be at least 14 to drive them anywhere.
- I dont live in florida, but in Mas police can take the bike and not give it back. The police will also file charges against the child and the parent. Check your states laws.
