What to do with a Neighbour from Hell? (Unresolved question)?

For nearly 2 years, a neighbours 5 dogs have been constantly barking 24 hours a day (they have now 3 dogs). It's so loud, my TV has 2 b on full volume. They also have 2 banger cars complete with trailers, that they park in the road, along with their other 3 vehicles, motorbike & mini bike, all making a long reviving noise, when they start them. Even though taking pictures of all the incidents plus a movie of the dogs barking (the movie could not be used in evidence, because it invades the persons privacy?) the neighbours are still able 2 continue with these incidents.without being evicted from their council property. The council have 10 rules, they have broken 6. By breaking any of these rules, it should have resulted in their eviction. Sent the council daily diaries which they requested. Council have visited the neighbours, who have said they would now abide with the council rulings (this lasted a week, they were back doing the same things) Do I take the council to court?

  1. Move
  2. Perhaps you should transfer to another tribe...
  3. Sue them for the tort of nuisance. Check out the link...
  4. 1. Contact the police department and file an official report 2. Contact Animal Enforcement agency 3. Contact the code enforcment agent for your city If none of this works, after you contact them get copies of their reports and file a small claims agains your neighbors. At least one of these agencies should be able to do something! Good Luck
  5. I might go so far as to leave the state. Alternately, play loud music and ignore it. Think of that maybe they have friends they would like to move in where you live. Either you irritate them in return or leave the situation. Either way they get what they want because strategic folk will think of something to 'pay you back'
  6. Maybe you should try calling your local community development/code enforcement office as well as animal control. Code enforcement enforces the zoning ordinances for your municipality. Animal control can deal with the issues involving the dogs. As for all the cars, bike, and trailers on the road; chances are there are ordinances prohibiting parking those vehicles in that area, especially the trailers. We have an ordinance similar to that, there may also be an ordinance that limits the number of vehicles allowed to be on a property. At a minimum you should call code enforcement and tell them your neighbor's property is a public nuisance. If it is there are measures that they can take to get these issues resolved. Have you tried contacting the police about the constant noise. You probably could take the council to court, but you may want to think about that before you proceed. First, court cases can be long and drawn out. Secondly, if the council hasn't done anything, your neighbor's may be politically connected, which could create problems for you, especially if you live in a small town. But, at a minimum call code enforcement and animal control. Best of luck.
  7. Let him/her be there only. Let someone else may do anything with him/her.
  8. you could try that but i'd move
  9. you have to consult your problem to te proper authorities, its your right. Write your complaints to the council so that they be aware of your problem.
  10. I had the same thing happen to me once. In my circumstance, the neighbor lived in a rental property next door. After numerous calls to the police with no results, someone finally suggested I contact the property owners and threaten them with legal action. I did, and the neighbors were evicted.
