Engine In Triumph Motorbikes?
Can anyone tell me whether this is right? The engines in Triumph motorbikes are not manufactured by Triumph but by Honda? Any input appreciated

- Nope. Triumph manufactures its own engines in Hinckley.
- Triumph makes their own motors, they re tooled their factory in 1999. They make one of the best motors in the world.
- i don't think Honda has any connection with Triumph. however they have opened plants in Thailand that manufacture motorcycles for sale in other markets. i am not positive, but i think that's why their prices are more reasonable now.
- Nope! They make their own. I saw it on Discovery Channel today on that orange county chopper show. They visited the factory over in England.
- The 'new' original was more of a Kawasaki motor than a Honda. (10~15yrs ago?) Triumph designed and built their own engines in Britain though
- Negative. Triumph is their own manufacturer. Rumor has it that Ford/Mazda helped design the earlier models crankshaft. But they are completely built in Hinckley UK. I love my 1050! It's still hard for me to accept that they are English and don't leak oil! But it hasn't leaked a drop! Weird!
- not true triumph makes their own engines
- dunno who told ya that but TRUMPET makes its own horns... honda OY VEY thats cold
