- Usually those speed cameras activate if you are going 11mph over the speed limit. And there you were just going 10 over. All that is subject to state/area and conditions. Sometimes even the color of your vehicle has an effect on them catching you.
- trust me, they do.
- If you need any answers regarding speed cameras I suggest you try the www.SPEEDCAM site. Its probably the best site in the U.K. according to the users. I have viewed it myself and its very impessive and entertaining, I hope this helps.
- They do catch bikes just as much as cars. Not all cameras are active and of the ones that are, not all have film in them. I guess the one you went though may not have been active. But don't get complacent, they swap things around to keep people guessing. A camera that didn't work one week could be working the following week.
- seee the problem is new cams face the driver and motorbikes dnt have numberplates on the front its a disgrace motorbike users are so up there own arses
- Trust me, they do... i got busted once or twice, but mainly.. a lot of cameras you see are dummies, its usually the ones you cant see that get you a lovely little ticket through your door!!!!
- Perhaps you should try it again at a higher speed,if its not working tell the Police!
- The size of the bike is an issue, however the law requires that the speed camera must take the photo from the front and bikes don't have number plates on the front and therefore the rider won't get prosecuted....well not at the moment anyway!!
- They do but if you go through a forward facing it will not register a number plate as you don't have a front one If the particular camera failed to go off then I think that it was more luck for you than anything else Either way ride safely and perhaps within the speed limits to avoid further fines and lining the councils coffers
